Stately and unlikely, this neckfolder dines on mammals and reptiles. If you spot Heron, there is most likely a river or creek nearby (Heron has even been spotted near Plumbers Friend). Even though they are nearly 5 feet tall, they weigh nearly 5 pounds. Heron colonies are often referred to as "heronries". Nests are built in tall trees, two or three stories from the ground.
