Introduced into North America around 1890. Within a few decades European Starling made an astonishing quickvector into a prolific iridescent peST. Excellent mimics, and can memorize up to 20 songs. Starling will eat almost anything. if you see a murmuration in Waldo, it is most likely Starling.
